Slate window sills & steps "off the shelf" sizes start at 1200mm x 300mm, with our large slabs suitable for fire hearths, table tops and even slab flooring at 2.2m x 1.2m. Thickness is 25/30mm. Our slate sills compliment either old or new design, are maintenance free and will stand the test of time! Suitable for use either inside or out, slightly riven or smooth finishes are available. We can produce any cills to order and can add a number of profiles to the edges with a polished edge if required. Firehearths again are produced to your specifications, sometimes we may require a template if your design dictates. One of our profiled edges will finish the look. We recommend the use of a seal to enhance and maintain the slate and we will give your hearth a "complimentary coat" before despatch if you so wish. Worktops & Vanity Tops in slate are perfect for use in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms and as our pictures show, can look ultra-modern or very traditional! We prefer to leave the surface "natural" but the tops can be polished to your requirements. All top edges can be chamfered or bullnosed (either full or half) to remove the sharpness. Cut outs for sinks, hobs and tapholes can be easily accommodated and even drainage grooves to complete the look. As our worktops and slabs are crafted by hand, each piece has an individual quality and the natural markings that are characteristic of our slate adds uniqueness to the finished product. |
