Solid oak flooring has historically been used over the centuries as a highly desirable & durable flooring product. Today, original reclaimed oak floorboards are highly expensive and hard to find. At our timber yard we manufacture 21mm thick solid oak boards in the traditional sizes of 6 ¼" to 10 ¼", and in lengths of 1.8m to 3m.
We offer a choice of select, character or rustic grade.
Our boards are particularly suited to a wide range of projects and are enjoying increased popularity as a hygienic and natural alternative to carpet.
The boards are planed, tongue and grooved with stress-relief grooves on the underside, to minimise the possibility of warping. The laid floor needs a minimum of sanding owing to the excellent machine finish of the boards, maintained by the stringent quality control of our own production facility.
All boards are kiln-dried to a moisture level of between 10% and 12%, which with acclimatisation, suits the humidity ranges of most buildings.
Adding character and style to either domestic or commercial schemes, our oak flooring gives a distinguished, hardwearing, low-maintenance surface that is a true sign of quality.
